How long have you been in business?
TMD has been in business for 77 years, since 1937.
What is your primary product or service?
Our primary product is remanufactured electric meters and related metering equipment.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Steve Swenke purchased Texas Meter & Device Company from Sam Allison in 2004. Steve is only the 3rd owner of this well established company.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
TMD offers Recertified Green® electric watthour meters with an eighteen (18) month warranty. TMD is very active in the AMI meter installation market and has deployed over 1,500,000 endpoints since 2003. TMD has the capability of exchanging and/or retrofitting electric, water, and gas meters.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
TMD is located in Waco, TX and in Round Rock, TX. We have various field locations during meter installation projects, but have no plans to expand locations.

Traveling on I35 North bound from Waco, take Exit #338B Behrens Circle. At the stop sign take a left going under I35, go straight thru the next stop sign and turn right onto the access road at the first light which is Hwy 77 and/or New Dallas Hwy. The access road dead ends into the TMD parking lot. 1509 New Dallas Hwy.
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express, and a credit application can be processed for Net 30 terms.

TMD provides service and products both locally as well as Nation wide.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Steve Swenke is President and CEO of Texas Meter & Device. Ross Miller has recently joined TMD as our new Chief Financial Officer.
